Sputnik supports RED OS

RED SOFT and "PP "Sputnik" announced technological cooperation, with the main goal to establish the compatibility of the developers' products, namely the Russian import-independent operating system RED OS and the domestic corporate browser Sputnik. Testing has confirmed the correct run of the browser under the operating system.

RED OS is the Russian Linux-family general purpose operating system for servers and workstations. The product is certified by FSTEC of Russia (Cert. The corporate browser “Sputnik” is a modern Russian product designed to organize the work of employees in large companies. The browser supports Russian cryptography (“CryptoPro CSP”, version 4 and higher), meets all the industry security requirements for software, used in information and telecommunication systems for special purposes. The corporate browser comes bundled with the analytics and management server. The product is certified by the Federal Security Service of Russia (No. 149/3/2/2 / -2426 dated October 30, 2017), which confirms its compliance with information security requirements and allows its use in state information systems. The Sputnik browser is included in the Unified Register of Russian Software and databases of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of Russia (No. 779).

“We position RED OS primarily as a corporate platform. In view of its import independence and sanction stability, our operating system is being actively implemented in government agencies and companies. We are pleased to announce that RED OS has confirmed compatibility with the modern Russian browser “Sputnik”, which is widely used in the corporate environment”, Rustam Rustamov, deputy RED SOFT CEO, comments.

The “Sputnik browser” has great potential, as it allows working with secure document circulation inside government departments and on electronic trading platforms where it is necessary to use an electronic signature. Therefore, we are constantly expanding a number of partnerships with leading developers in the field of information security, user authentication, electronic document management and software. Technological partnership with the leader of the domestic IT-industry, which RED SOFT is, will raise the security of work in the Sputnik browser to a new level, because the solutions of both companies are based on domestic technologies in the field of data protection”, Maxim Khromov, PP Sputnik LLC CEO, notes.
